The Smurfs (1981) Series - are the HboMax episodes in true 1080p HD? - Blu-ray Forum

The first 4 seasons are on HboMax and apparently they’ve been remastered into true HD. Can anyone confirm this? I believe the official channel on YouTube features these same episodes. Here is a link below:

What you see in that video is not the same as it is on HBO Max.

They're 4x3. not 16x9.

And, yes, 1080p.

Looks like it’s coming to Netflix too but in a different aspect ratio? Maybe the Netflix versions won’t be the same HD versions that are on HboMax?
