I have to agree on that as well. As of now Im thinking of going with the 2D Standard version for two big reasons:

First, title is centered and not vertically to the left. Second, there is no zoom done unlike with the 3D cover.

2D cover: FTW!

3D cover:

FYI. It's just a fanart from 2010 that someone upload to the database, not official at all.

[Show spoiler]

If its not official its very close to what Disney already has planned for the 2D cover. Which should be a duplicate of the 3D except without the word "3D" and without a lenticular front cover.

Disney used the same artwork for the Japanese Laserdisc release of The Little Mermaid back in 1998. Disney usually creates new covers for the Diamond Edition Blu-Ray Releases, for this one I think it is nice that they are using the artwork from one of the theatrical posters.

Not to go off topic, Lady And The Tramp is the only other Diamond Edition Blu-Ray to use existing artwork. Disney made that Cover by copying and pasting from the 2006 Platinum Edition DVD Cover.

This could work for the Steelbook/ 3 Disc (Blu DVD+ Digi Copy)) cover

and the Ariel Sitting On The Rock cover could be used for the 3D cover (possibly)

I'm thinking opposite on the two of them, but if they did make the 3D cover ariel on the rock, they should make it a moving lenticular so it moves like the menu.

Personaly I think the Under Water cover might be the 3 Disc cover then a Character Cover would be the 2 Disc cover

EpI conversion was garbage ... but EpII is probably the greatest 3D I've ever seen ... on par or possibly better than Avatar

Nicely done trailer. I'm still there for the Combo-Pack, still not a fan of the 3D gimmick.

You can buy clip-ons that go on your regular glasses for 3D. They work in theaters and with passive 3D TV sets. It doesn't help with the headaches, but it definitely helps with the comfort. I bought some for my parents, and they love them.
