A.I: Artificial Intelligence + There Will Be Blood

Daniel Plainview, a miner-turned-oil-man, befriends a robot boy (David) who he discovered buried in a deep underground rock formation while digging for gold. Unaware the boy in question is a machine built in the far future and sent back by advanced mecha, he uses the boys adorable charms to help buy land for his own drilling. The boy, in return, only seeks his love. When a preacher uncovers the boys inhuman abilities, he attempts to get it destroyed for being a product of the devil.
