and hopefully fix the SCREWED UP ASPECT RATIO on A BOY NAMED CHARLIE BROWN

and why on earth releasing these on single discs ? why not 2 on 1 50 gb disc UNLESS they are using a 50gb for each 1

I searched and cant find the thread discussing all the problems of the Australian release

I understand the whole problem with the stretched-out picture on the Australian Blu-ray but I don't get why we are still debating the aspect ratio on A Boy Named Charlie Brown. It might have been shot in 1.37 but it was intended as a 1.85 film. By 1969, Academy ratio had been phased out of theatres, therefore it would have run in 1.85.

Therefore, 1.85 is the correct aspect ratio and I'm sure surviving 35mm prints would be the same.

As for the issues on the Australian release, look here: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/comm...stralia.342831.

Come on Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown. Let's hope you eventually get a release.

While we are at it, can someone put out The Phantom Tollbooth?

The DVD release of the movie had the same issues so there's no reason to believe that this new blu ray release won't as well.

The credits are in the original aspect ratio so that all the letters are visible, so they obviously did it on purpose.

I FINALLY upgraded these to DVD a year ago because I never expected them to come out on Blu-ray. I still had Snoopy Come Home on an ancient VHS from the early '90s from CBS/FOX (one of my very first videos), and A Boy Named Charlie Brown on VIDEO NOW discs from 2004 (remember those?).
