I'm sorry if I missed something but isn't this movie supposed to be released on both Blu-Ray and HDDVD this Tuesday? I don't see it listed anywhere on Blu-Ray. I really hope my only option is not just HDDVD.

Whaat? Relax guys, I was just making a joke. Simply trying to lighten up a touchy subject.

Anyway, to the OP, Paramount/Dreamworks just went HD-DVD exclusive and this movie is one of their titles. The Blu-ray edition was cancelled.

I guess Sunday's ads (tommorow) were printed early as both Best Buy and Circuit City have Blades of Glory listed for Blu-Ray bext week.

How is it being honored, did Walmart already get copies in?

I would have imagined they never would have shipped. That's interesting if they do ship out to stores.

Paramount said they weren't recalling Blu-Rays. And they aren't going to melt down tens of thousands of discs. Remember, they're EXTREMELY greedy.

I'm 100% sure they'll be Blades on the shelves at random stores come Tues.

Production companies have the discs made well before they are released. It's not like they're like, "OK, this title is supposed to be released next week. Let's get busy!!!"

This is weird. I live in Miami and Blades of Glory is advertised for sale on Tuesday in the Sunday ads for Circuit City and Best Buy. Has anybody else noticed the same where they live?

I just checked and mine (San Jose) only show the ads for the DVD and not for blu or HD-DVD. Perhaps the B & M stores are fighting back against Paramount.

I've seen an ad for it for DVD and HD-DVD. I'm wondering what BB and CC are going to do with all of the blu-ray discs of that movie. Just ship them back to Paramount to be destroyed?

From what I am told, the distributers are sending a recall or are simply not sending the stores any supply. My guy who usually sells BD's a week or two before streetdate told me that I was "Shit out of luck". I think that the Walmarts and maybe the BB's will put them out on error.

im almost 100% sure my store will put them out on error csu the guy who always does this tuesay.. i asked him so you heard any kinda weird recalls on movies.. he said "no man. hell i dont read that crap i just put out whats in the box"

sooo ima try and get me a few copies
