The Golden Globes still exists?

I thought it had been canceled permanently as a mark of respect after Ricky Gervais burned the building down with everyone trapped inside.

The biggest snub is Danielle Deadwyler. She should be winning but isn't even nominated. Ridiculous.

That being said I'm thrilled Triangle of Sadness got into Picture and Supporting Actress. Also pleased with the Barry Keoghan and Carey Mulligan nominations.

Glad to see the love for Banshees and The Fabelmans.

Disappointed that Janelle Monáe was snubbed in Supporting Actress.

Sucks there's no love for The Batman.

As much as i love Jamie Lee Curtis, I really do think Stephanie Hsu should have been nominated over her, but I get she's way more well known.

Glad Andor wasn't shut out entirely, but it deserves more noms than just Actor.

Genre movies and shows, despite their quality, still aren't given the full fair shake they deserve.

Pretty solid list otherwise.

ah drat - I'm kicking myself for not seeing 'Close' last Saturday ... other than that I've seen the other four. I thought RRR was fantastic, but I'm thinking 'Decision to Leave' might win.

I liked 'Force Majeure', 'The Square' was okay, but 'Triangle of Sadness' - I really really don't get the (over) praise of it (eye roll)

I'm curious to see 'Babylon' but what I've read, it's a mess of a movie.

All about opinions, Top Gun has a nomination but I think The Batman is far better. Visually and thematically. I also think it has a better score and better performances but that’s just my opinion.

Definitely worth watching a movie you wouldn’t normally watch. At worst you’ll have wasted a couple of hours but on the other you may discover a hidden gem.

Bit bummed that nothing came from Cha Cha Real Smooth, specifically Dakota Johnson in Best Supporting. Figured Apple TV+ would promote that one a little after that CODA win for Best Picture.

I was considering seeing 'The Inspection'. It's now down to one showtime a day at one of my theaters. With Jeremy Pope's nomination for Best Actor - Drama, I'm even more curious. I haven't heard any buzz whatsoever about his performance nor the movie in general.

If they weren't released in the same year, I would've loved to see Marcel the Shell win Animated Feature, but I have a strong feeling GDT's Pinocchio will be the awards favorite. I guess it's still possible, but the latter is getting a lot more attention.

I loved both, but Marcel was on another level for me.

Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is definitely deserving of its four nominations. Lots of great shows out there, but I think this was one of the better ones this year. It's perfectly cast with Evan Peters giving the best performance of his career as the title character. Niecy Nash as the concerned neighbor, who is usually thought of as more of a comedic actress giving a really emotional dramatic performance. Then Richard Jenkins as Dahmer's father. Another great series from Ryan Murphy!
