Universal have the rights to this in a fair few places, not just France, so I'd say there's a good chance this is going to get a 4K elsewhere too. Maybe even the UK, if we're lucky. Our 'regular' release of Apollo 11 is due for November so that gives them plenty of time to work the 4K into the schedule.

It’s being distributed by Dogwoof, a small-ish indie doc distributor. They haven’t released a whale of stuff on BD (mostly recent high-profile docs like Free Solo) so the chances of a UHD coming from them are even slimmer than the chances of a UHD coming from Arrow.

Ugh, I guess I'll buy this a 3rd time. The iTunes 4K HDR stream is great so this should be amazing on disc.

Glad I held off getting the US version. Saw it at my local digital IMAX on my birthday and absolutely loved it. Will certainly be getting the 4K UHD version.

spot checking some of their releases and they all had lossless sound so I think we're pretty safe with this release.
