Ugly. I'm okay with the split effect, but it's too dissimilar to the original poster. Douglas looks terrible, and Stone looks like she's happily posing for a camera, not plotting something.

Agreed. Not feeling anything for that design. A turn-off.

Not the same. It's a drawing, and while Douglas is in nearly the same pose, Sharon Stone is not.

It looks more like a digital illustration than a paint filter effect.

I don’t understand why that style is so popular. I’ll be picking up some UHD release of this film but likely designing my own cover based on the original VHS art or something similar.

Yeah , it is.

Not so zoovi exclusive then.. assuming this will be eventually gets released in FR (one of many such 'cases').

Any time Zavvi says "exclusive" they are only talking about for the UK market. That just means that you can't buy it from Amazon, HMV, or any of the other UK retailers. 100% WEA steels are rare these day unless it's one of the Asian boutiques funding it. Sometimes even those pop up in other places later

You normally know the answer to just about anything steelbook. People are saying in this form that they are waiting for the U.S. release of this but I can't find any mention of this being released in the U.S. I did see that this will be released in Germany and France. Just trying to decide to keep my Zavvi preorder or not. So if you know this will get a Best Buy or Target US release or not that would really helpful.

The original steelbook of Basic Instinct was a Zavvi exclusive. I like the art for that better than the new 4K, not that I don't like the new art but the original steelbook itself would be pretty hard to top even if it got a real premium WEA release.
