I saw it in an indie theater way back in 1998. Terrific film and one of gutsiest acting performances I've ever seen by Dylan Baker. I hated myself for almost sympathizing with his character, but he was that good in the role.

I think PowelPressburger (sp?) noted Todd teased it was coming from Criterion a year or so ago.

No, but Solondz apparently mentioned Criterion was working on it at a Q&A a couple years back.

That's what I thought, even though I'm rarely sure how substantiated those comments are. It was still unexpected.
