Default Universal *was* going great with DreamWorks releases

Universal was going great with DreamWorks Animation releases to begin with from finally releasing the early movies on Blu-ray, to releasing complete Shrek and Madagascar collections and 4Ks for the first two How to Train your Dragon movies in addition to reissuing all the movies in USA.

But since then it's been quiet. They've more or less done the bare minimum.

The DreamWorks Christmas collection was great but it was too early so How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming is only on DVD and Digital.

They just released Shrek in 4K for the 20th anniversary but there's no word on the sequels. At this rate they could literally release Puss in Boots in 4K before the other 3 with its sequel coming out next year.

They should really do complete collections for Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon like the ones they did for Shrek and Madagascar.

Would be great to finally get the Kung Fu Panda movies in 4K too.

Come on Universal, you were going great.

Just give me 4Ks for the other Shreks, Bee Movie, and The Prince of Egypt, then I can retire all my DreamWorks blus. I'll leave the rest to others.

Seems like you need to wait for sequels to get anything.

Unfortunately Kung Fu Panda has ended.

The rest of them, not sure they'll ever get a release considering I don't think there's any one on the level of or with the leverage of Pete Docter to mandate all the films getting a release.

Even Illumination which technically oversees all the animation, hasn't got the early films to UHD. Though I can't really recall what they've made besides Despicable Me (all on UHD). I think Lorax definitely isn't on.

At least they finally put the rest out. Over the Hedge released either the same or 1 year before Blu Ray and didn't get a release for a decade. Ridiculous.

Is it really so hard for Dreamworks to release all of the Kung Fu Panda "Secrets" shorts on one Blu-Ray?
