lkmg Blu-ray Guru Member since:Oct 2010 Blu-ray collection:172 Trading Score:6	The Nutcracker: The Untold Story - November 1, 2011 The Nutcracker: The Untold Story Blu-ray The Nutcracker: The Untold Story Blu-ray Review Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring Russian director Andrei Konchalovsky's The Nutcracker: The Untold Story to Blu-ray. The film saw a limited theatrical release in the U.S. last year and was originally titled The Nutcracker in 3D. The Hungary/U.K. production is a retelling of Tchaikovsky's famous Nutcracker ballet, but acts as a children's adventure instead of a choreographed dance film. It stars Elle Fanning as Mary alongside Nathan Lane, John Turturro and Frances de la Tour. Oscar-winning lyricist Tim Rice (The Lion King) oversaw music for the film. Despite the talent involved, this new version underperformed in its limited release and received negative reactions from critics. The Blu-ray will feature DTS HD Master Audio 5.1.
