a lot of us are assuming that it will hit the US to coincide with the release of the new video game. That's only slated for Fall 08, so October sounds good.

There was an thread earlier today with some european release month for MIB - I think it was in July, but could be wrong. I'll see if I can find it

EDIT - LOL, the previous article had the same list as this one which shows MIB in Europe for July. Has Sony been known to release catalogs early in other territories?

here it is translated

While one always awaits a reaction of the camp HD DVD in France, the gone out being done anyway more and more discreet on this format despite the title salvos announced by Universal, Sony France has just unveiled his planning blu-ray to the site FilmsActu. A list on which one rediscovers evidently many announced films indeed already go out besides Atlantic but unpublished so certain more surprising, as the catalog titles On the quays or Of cold blood (if it is a matter well of the classic in black and white of Richard Brooks and not of his remake color of 1996), or some due strangenesses to the distribution chances as Erin Brockovich or HD DVD to the United States where they are edited by Universal. The fans of organization and of beautiful pictures will equally be delighted to see landed a title as Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, normally foreseen for the next summer. As always with this kind of plannings, notably in France where the gone out high definition often are treated by over the leg (and seen the lean potential one economical, this is sometimes almost understandable), we communicate yourself this planning under reserves changes, notably in the matter of the dates and the concerned titles, since the true novelties are not indexed on this list and will arrive with the passing of the. More of information, evidently, as soon as they will be available.

Default Ghostbusters coming soon to Blu-ray?

http://dvd.ign.com/articles/854/854529p1.html

There seems to be a BIG ANNOUCEMENT coming to this year's Comic Con in San Deigo concerning Ghostbusters.......I believe it will be the High Def versions of both films and maybe the classic TV cartoon show on blu-ray?!? Either way, I can't wait!!

When is Comic Con anyway?

It'd be great if it was announcing the Blu-ray releases, but it just as likely might only be when they reveal in game footage or a playable demo from the new game which is set to debut around Halloween.

They would not be taking out that ad unless it was somethingbigger than just a re-release. It's probably either a remake or a continuation sequel

Cartoon will never be HD, the film is long gone for it, and even if they have it they wouldn't spend the money

Isn't there a new Ghostbuster movie being made? Jack Black is one of the co-stars, maybe we will see a trailer or something, although I think that's also out there somewhere.. i dunno.
