Woah. A bit on the pricey end of things. I really enjoyed the show and would love to own it at some point but this is just a little too expensive in my opinion.

Me too but its not the same as having it in it's glorious packaging on your bluray shelf. Def waiting on a price drop though

And more importantly....having it in full HD and lossless audio,I have it saved also which makes me think I may bide my time for a price drop but will certainly be buying it at some stage.

8 episodes should be no more than £15. Will proberly drop to around £25 though.

Definitely one to get, but as with most HBO series' when it drops below about £20.

I really enjoyed this - and will happily watch again... as very slow burn, with great performances and atmosphere.

However, the UK price is a bit... errr... expensive

Pre-order on Amazon.com is $39.96 - so the UK is waaaay overpriced (as usual).

I'd say it takes the first 3 episodes to get to grips with the characters and the storyline. But once you've completed episode 4 you'll be hooked. And I imagine the show has massive replay value.

I think the series is fantastic and all, the episodes are deep and meaningful but nothing really happens until the last two minutes and then you get all excited for the next episode, where nothing really happens until the last two minutes ...

It will be interesting to see how the episodes play back-to-back.

But most shows seem to be like that these days. I used to hate those LOST episodes where Jack wakes up by a lake and spends 40 minutes flashing-back until he walks back into the jungle ... in the last two minutes.

The Walking Dead is the same ...

8 episodes to walk up a track, you serious haven't forgotten what happened in the first half of that season already.

Heard great things of this but the initial price is plain daft.

If it helps, all they did in the first half was cough, sneeze and complain about farming until a big tank came up.
