Default Corrections To “Scars of War” Reviews Needed

Note to Stephen Larson on your June 5, 2021 Birdy and your August 15, 2021 Casualties of War reviews, some incorrect information has been posted.

Birdy
Quote:
Birdy, which is split with Casualties of War on the other layer, is struck from Sony's BD-R 25, which my colleague Marty Liebman reviewed two years ago.

Casualties of War
Quote:
Mill Creek's MPEG-4 AVC-encoded BD-50 of the theatrical cut of Casualties of War, which is split with Birdy on the other layer, is sourced from Sony's BD-R 50, which my colleague Marty Liebman reviewed three years ago.

BD-R indicates burned media. Both of the Sony releases mentioned in the reviews are pressed Blu-rays (BD media); neither are BD-R. For Birdy, it’s even indicated as pressed in the original review that you cited:
Quote:
Birdy soars onto Blu-ray with another terrific pressed MOD (Manufactured on Demand) release from Sony.
The Sony releases are already listed correctly as BD media in the site specifications.

Default Stephen Larson

Stephen Larson,
Please fix your reviews. Both of them are still showing the wrong information about the Sony discs being BD-R. They are not. This is an issue since lots of people avoid BD-R simply because it’s burned media. Neither of those are burned though; hence it being misinformation that needs correction.
Thanks

Apologies that I never replied directly to you. But my Birdy and Casualties of War reviews did get updated and corrected with the proper info.
