I really liked this movie.

Seems odd they'd release it for its 21st anniversary. When 2017 passed and this didn't show I assumed we wouldn't get it for a few more years.

This is actually more great news, because like Starship Troopers this is only a Sony film in North America and is with Disney internationally.

Other films in this boat include The Fifth Element and Léon, Zero Dark Thirty and to some extent Sicario: Day of the Soldado, although I think Sony have this in a couple Spanish-speaking territories as well.

Hopefully, it's a sign that Sony will continue to do more single-territory titles on UHD BD, where a film is not a Sony production worldwide, especially as it should also convince other distributors to follow suit. I'm pretty sure the only other major studio title to get a single-territory UHD BD that was not from MGM, Studiocanal or a mini-major like Lionsgate is The Post (which got a North American UHD from Fox and an Italian domestic UHD BD from 01 Distributiion), but I believe that was also entangled in the Dreamworks switchover from Fox to Universal.

Anyway... the CGI elements, which were terrible to begin with, will definitely look extra funky in this transfer no doubt.
