I wish Lionsgate picked better title selections.

Hah, this is one of those movies I had forgotten about buying and am considering paying the dollar for hdx conversion to free up more shelf space.

I think it makes sense since the sequel is about to be released in theaters this summer.

I've been meaning to watch it with the sequel right around the corner. Unfortunately seeing the trailer for the second one kinda spoiled the first movie.

As for the UHD, I'm assuming the 4K version will be the theatrical cut only while the Blu-ray will contain both versions. I just hope this is more like Sicario in transfer quality and less like Ender's Game or Expendables 3.

Curious if this will have both cuts 115 min. theatrical & 125 min. extended edition included on the blu-ray? The UHD also comes with the BD, so at least it's included, but both cuts in 4K? The wait begins.

Bad news is 2k di.

Good news is it looks like it was made on film so perhaps just a 4k rescan.

More catalog, that's good. Another wave from Warner would be nice.

I looked up the info on imbd.com, looks to be a summit movie. Didn't see any info about lionsgate, warner, sony, or fox being involved. Could mean a wave from summit is coming.

If I am incorrect someone feel free to chime in.

Summit is Lionsgate, LG acquired Summit in 2012.

You can ignore the DI for film unless it is a cheap 2K-to-4K upscale and not a rescan which most films are being done. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt (right now) and assume they are going to rescan for a Real 4K movie. From what I remember, CG played a very small roll, it was mostly practical effects. Ugh, I hope I don't have to go back and rewatch that shitty movie to find out.

Glad I never got around to buying the blu-ray of this. I liked this movie and will pick this UHD up. I hope the blu-ray that comes with it has both cuts. I'd be very surprised if the UHD contained both cuts and don't really expect it to. Don't think we'll be seeing UHDs like that until the 100 gb discs are more readily available, and then, not for this pricing.

Of course. Yet I still wish they pick better titles from their library.

Viking61 spotted this last week. But we weren't sure if real. Amazon proves it now, Viking61.

No, it's not. A really incoherent mess. Given who wrote it that's no surprise.

I liked it personally. I own the Vudu extended cut, but preferred the theatrical, so I may pick this up.

IF it is the extended version we will buy. It was projected in 4K at our local theater. They had a BIG pr push for it.
