Update - Paramount may have screwed up and listed a regular Slipcover release a a Steelbook. There is now a new Amazon Exclusive listing for a Collector's Edition with a Steelbook, so the other listings that said it was a Steelbook may just be a standard case. Please pre-order accordingly.

Being Paramount, it'll likely be identical to the BD one

If it's the same look as the bluray steelbook then I'm hoping there will be a regular 4k of this. I'll just swap the discs.

Also I like the look of the bluray steelbook so part of me wants this 4k steelbook to be the same. Only thing that could possibly be better is the poster art.

So potentially good or bad news depending on what you're looking for. I have cover art, and despite every retailer listing it as a Steelbook, it looks to just be a regular slipcover release, with the same artwork as the 25th Anniversary edition. I'm not sure if Paramount screwed up here, or if there are two editions coming out. I suppose there's also the remote possibility that it's a Steelbook with a slipcover. The sub $25 pricing does make more sense now though. This does work out well for those that already have the BD Steelbook, and was hoping for a regular case release.

I will definitely double dip if this is one of their steelbooks with cardboard slipcover deals. Especially at that price.

I just noticed Amazon has a a new Collector's Edition Steelbook listing that comes in a slipcase, and includes a poster, stickers, and other stuff. It's very likely the previous listings are erroneously listed as Steelbooks, and will just be a regular case, so pre-order accordingly. As of now, Amazon are the only ones listing this.

Well since the steelbook is the same as the blurau steelbook minus all the extra goodies I'll just keep my preorder in for the 4k at target and place it in my blu case.

Either way, the Target one ran me less than $20 after discount, so I'm cool with it.

The set itself looks perfectly fine; that steelbook design was always nice. But a few cards and some stickers aren't nearly enough to justify spending$50. Besides, Amazon will almost certainly ship it in a way that the slipbox arrives looking like it got detoured through a war zone.
