Must admit, odd to see this one getting a blu release when Lower Decks Season 3 goes DVD-only, especially when (unlike LD) It's been cancelled.

Still, I'll be adding it to my ST collection

Saw 1 episode on P+ and wasn’t sure I liked it. I wanna give it a proper go though and also feel it’s important to be buying any ST Blu-ray right now to show support after dropping Lower Decks on BD in the uK.

Wow, didn't expect this one anymore, great that they're releasing it in the UK! And we get everything in one package unlike the US.

I've seen the first half of the season and was just beginning to rewatch it (to pick up the second half after that), but now I'll wait for this. It's different from other Trek for sure, but I was all in at end of episode two. And I love the references to other shows.

I hope the price goes down a little bit or maybe I'll pick up the German edition.

They haven't announced anything AFAIK, but season 3 dropped on DVD a few weeks ago and there's no sign of a blu.

Looks that way. Switched to MOD for BD in the US and only DVD here.

I wasn't expecting this to get a blu-ray release after S3 of Lower Decks was DVD only in the UK.

Plus it looks like we are getting the whole of Season 1 instead of a split Season like the US.

I didn't expect to like it but it ended up being a really good Trek show. Felt very much like a sequel to Voyager.

First two episode seem like they would be more at home in the Star Wars universe but after that it really does turn into a Trekesque show, maybe more so then the other P+ shows. It is actually a lot of fun.

Think he meant the series has been cancelled, Season 2 will eventually air somewhere but as of now there won't be anymore.

I bought the US release of Season 1 Part 1 when it was released sure it would never get a UK release, will be cheaper to give that away and buy the UK Season 1 set than try to import Part 2 lol

Obviously Paramount see there is a value in Season 2 and they can sell it elsewhere as they are paying for the SFX to be completed even though they've said it won't be shown on their channels (Paramount+ or Nickelodeon).

If they thought it was worthless they would stop all work and bin it as a tax write-off as Disney and WBD have been doing with their shows.

As with everyone else, seeing this come out makes the lack of Lower Decks Season 3 even more puzzling. I will be buying this. Hopefully Paramount UK will respond to some positive sales.

Even if the sales were poor for Lower Decks on Blu-ray, I'm sure the Strange New Worlds crossover will result in some people discovering the animated show now, so it feels like they could have at least give it a chance to build a following.

Great to see it will be getting a UK release on Blu-ray, also up on HMV so £19.99 after the usual discount.

Delighted that:

a. I ended up loving season 1 when I got the Blu-ray. Once they get on the Protostar, it's damned good.

b. The BDs of Lower Decks (and Prodigy) have in fact continued.
