Really great news. Not that we weren't already spoiled for great September and October releases…

"I do not do animal acts. I do not do S&M or any variations of that particular bent, no water sports either. I will not shave my p**ssy, no fistf**king and absolutely no coming in my face. I get $2000 a day and I do not work without a contract."

Nice. Thought this would be coming next year for its 35th but I'll take it.
More De Palma on 4K the better. Hopefully we also see a steelbook for Christine this year for ITS 35th, with DV too! |

The Chemosphere house used in this film really adds to the surreal atmosphere.

Oh hell yes. That's 8 out of 29 De Palma features in 4K now. Arguably all the big mainstream 'classics' of his work have been done. My bet is on Casualties of War being the next pick from his oeuvre. I can imagine it appearing on a potential volume 4 of the Columbia Classics. Snake Eyes with the originally planned climax restored would also be a dream come true, but I'll take whatever I can get.
I'd absolutely kill for Femme Fatale but that literally got a release on Blu-ray a year ago. A real shame, but better than nothing. Last edited by ZeeCobra; 08-02-2023 at 10:14 PM. |

Don't get me wrong, I'd kill for literally any and every De Palma, even the hated works like Vanities and Wise Guys. I just didn't wanna take up message space with my yearning to have all his work in 4K haha. That said, Sisters and Obsession both feel very much like good possible candidates for the near future. If I remember reading correctly The Fury is stuck under Disney, which is a pain. For the recent works, I just can't imagine any of the studios finding themselves saying 'yeah, let's do Mission to Mars and The Black Dahlia in 4K' as much as I would love for them to get such treatment. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. One can dream...
