If you are looking for a movie to create a vacuum of despair and suck the joy right out of a room, this is the one for you. Darren Aronofsky's films are incredible and this one is no exception, but I have no desire to watch this again.

Yeah, I avoided the movie as it sounded just too heartbreaking to me. I won't get the UHD, but I got to shout out Lionsgate for being flat out awesome about releasing some great catalog titles on UHD. They are just fantastic, especially in this day and age of BS digital lossy overcompressed streaming...

As great as i think many of his films are, I don’t find myself rewatching them too much—because I think they are so dark/emotional

Very much looking forward to this, especially given how lousy the presentation is on Blu-ray.

What an odd choice, even by Lionsgate standards.

Wow, one of my top ten of all time. But one of the last movies I would expect to see getting a release in 4K. Great news.

With respect to repeat viewings, it's held up well for me. I like to show people in hopes of having them realize the dangers of addiction. It always hits me hard.

20th Anniversary then. I wondered if it was possible, but wasn't holding out much hope. Looks like I'm happily disappointed!

Ellen Burstyn's performance in this is my favorite of all time by anyone. I don't care about the Oscars but her losing to Julia Roberts for wearing a pushup bra is a crime.

This is one of my favorite films but I am not sure how much replay value I would get out of it much like the recently announced Elephant Man and The Deer Hunter releases. That is like a Trilogy Of Despair right there.

Excellent!!! Great to see some catalog titles getting some love. It gives me hope for some other Lionsgate properties maybe finally making the jump from DVD to Blu (or even 4k).

I don't think a film about self destruction is suppose to be a feel good flick.

Whenever I watch a movie, I want to be entertained not feeling sad and melancholy.
