Well! Fans are going to go nuts over this announcement. The rare sequel that bests the first film in every way: better staged and directed action, a more effectively rousing score (and more period appropriate), and some truly breathtaking widescreen cinematography. The cast is great and loved the witty casting of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid's James Coburn in particular...this is an especially satisfying title to finally hit Blu.

The first Young Guns was a decent cowboy & western action movie imo with an amazing film score that I enjoyed much more compared to the second movie's score aside from the Bon Jovi songs.

The first film has its charms (and Emilio Estevez is fun in both), but I still find the sequel far superior, and it feels more like a sprawling, classic western to me. It also has a genuinely tragic air at times, with more dramatic gravitas as a result.

I'm about to cry tears of joy. One of my most wanted titles. The first western I ever saw and I've loved the genre ever since because of it.
