It's on my 'Future's list', but no way am I paying £36, sub £20 and I'll bite, probably happen around the time S2 is announced/released.

I trust those encoding issues were fixed

This is coming from Network, whereas Freemantle the copyright owners of both shows have kept Minder for themselves. As Freemantle release Minder on DVD. They don't seem as keen on BD as Network.
I guess we will only see Minder on BD if we get another TV spinoff or a film.
The Sweeney film is what is driving this BD release. I guess they will see how Series 1 sells to determine if they do the other series on BD.

Would be great if they could transfer the professionals to blu ray! If they went back to the original film that is, even something better quality on DVD wouldn't go a miss as all the present releases are transfers from the poorly done telecine copy's..
Both of these 2 classics would be great to own..

£12 is a nice price, paid around £20 and still not checked it out, (transfer that is) at this price can we assume S2 is not far off.

£12 is a great price.I bought the 1st series from the Network website last month & i thought getting it for £24 was a bargain.

Play are also selling Regan (The Pilot for The Sweeney) for £6.29

Don't know if this is old news but The Sweeney Series 1 (3disc Blu Ray) is £12.09 on play.com.

Look for the Sweeney (1975) thread, i posted this deal more then a week ago but its all good as long as people take advantage of it!
