If you have an AMC nearby, they are doing "Scream Unseen" tomorrow night, and there's a high likelihood it'll be this. Tickets only $6.

Long shot, it'll be Heart Eyes or The Monkey, but if it's any of those three I'll consider it a win.

Going tonight! I'm hoping for Companion. I have a press screening on Thursday for Heart Eyes, so I think the odds are in Companion's favor.

^ It was Companion. Became pretty clear as they played trailers for The Monkey and Heart Eyes before the movie.

Anyway, the movie is cute, quirky, and fun, but not especially surprising or original. It's a tough one to talk about, since something that is obvious from the trailer and is mentioned in several of the plot synopsis out there is actually presented as a plot-twist / spoiler in the actual movie.

So I'd say it's a cross between

[Show spoiler]

and Strange Darling.

I really enjoyed this. Since I already had a reservation to see it this coming Thursday before I attended the mystery AMC tonight, I am going to see it again and then post a more thorough review.

I really really wish that I had not seen the second trailer for this movie beforehand, but I still had a blast.

Is this like a robot lady in the movie? I only glimpsed at the first trailer, but if so, reminds me of Ex Machina, which was interesting for a robot AI themed movie.

Yep. It was Companion. REALLY enjoyed this, but knowing what I knew having seen the 2nd trailer, I became increasingly angry as time went by due to the fact that we don't find out

until the end of the first act! It would have made for a WONDERFUL little first act twist. Ugh!

The movie was a delight though. Jack Quaid and Sophie Thatcher are high on the charisma factor. Some nice twists (including the one that most of us know).

God the marketing of this movie really baffles me.
