As much as I would like to, I'm simply not in the financial situation to be able to afford paying $20 every time I want to watch a movie, so I'll stick with bargain DVDs for typical stuff (comedies, drama, etc.) and the like, and splurge when I really think the movie will benefit from high-def treatment.

I'm no longer buying DVD's. Only BDs for me. The last DVD I bought was two seasons of House that were dirt cheap on Black Friday. But now I'll wait for everything to come out on Blu-Ray.

I have not purchased a dvd in over a year. I do not intend on purchasing one ever again. If the only way I can see a movie is on DVD then maybe I will rent it but that will be it. There is too much of a quality difference.

There is a tremendous ammount of titles on dvd that we won't see soon on blu ray so i think i will stick on purchasing dvds once in a while.

If a new release is available on Blu, then i buy it. I still pick up a standard DVD now & then if no BD release is provided, but more & more often lately I find myself saying "I can wait for the blu-ray version", whereas in the past I was never patient enough to wait.

I will continue buying TV shows on DVD. Nothing beats buying a season for 20 bucks and watching it anywhere I please. For movies I don't really think I'd buy the DVD version anymore.

For movies, esspecially newer ones, I'll definately get them on Blu-Ray when possible.

But there are some TV shows (esspecially older ones) that I collect on DVD that I doubt will ever make their way to Blu-Ray, so I will continue to collect those on DVD as long as I have to.

I am still buying a few DVDs. They may not look as great as the blu titles, but lets face it it will be a while before some of these titles make it out, if ever. I don't want to wait another 10 years to watch something just because it is not in the best format.

Certain titles like the Disney Treasures sets were a miracle to come out on DVD, let alone Blu-Ray. I will still get the SDVD when there's no alternative, but everything else is Blu.

Absolutely the same thing I've been doing for awhile now. I no longer buy standard def dvds. It's simply too much of a visual difference to me. Why settle for scraps when you can have the full course?

No More new Movies in SD DVD. Blu-Ray only. I have almost all of the old Catalog titles I could ever want in SD DVD as it is and I have started replacing them with the Blu-Ray versions already!
