I sure hope this turns out good… but alas, someone should really just hire Del Toro and Perlman to finish out the trilogy, I will of course be planted in a theatre seat with popcorn in hand for this but if the franchise ever hopes to move on with a reboot we really really need the icing of a third installment on that magnificent double layered cake of Guillermo’s…

Bluray release is DECEMBER 17th in the U.S.

Never heard of it.

I like the other films (especially Guillermo del Toro's) so will take a look.

The artwork is poor because I could walk by that in HMV and think it was one of the others that I'd seen.

Given it clearly isn't Ron Perlman or David Harbour and doesn't say Guillermo Del Toro or Neil Marshall on it, not sure why you would mix it up with previous versions

Doesn't look too likely, the film will be direct-to-digital in the U.S.

Can we have a Hellboy release without the Del Toro fan boying? God, I can't wait for the day. It's been over 15 yrs now. It's not happening. Get over it.

I've seen some people online say it's a pretty good film. Curious to know where that leaves us because people said the last one was awful. I quite enjoyed it.

It was better than Hellboy 2019.
&@rottentaters and Dud alrighty…ohh God how I wish DelToro had his third film
[Show spoiler]neener,neener.

It was worth a rent, I paid $7.00, I’d watch more entries in this version…the Hellboy ain’t bad at all, his voice is a bit unmemorable but the film is good fun, 2019 has Zero redeeming qualities for me.

I rented this on iTunes for only $2 and thought is was really solid. I went ahead and ordered the UHD from Orbit. It’s more of a slow burn with a creepy atmosphere. The limitations of the budget show with some of the CGI and the set pieces but I found it to be forgivable considering what they had to work with.

4k is fine. I wish it was HDR, especially for the darker scenes. The extras are cool, a bunch of interviews of various lenght with the main cast and crew

This was really awful. It felt like a bad pilot for a TV series.

Just started watching it last night - the cgi at the start was pretty terrible. Turned it off after 15 mins but will give it a go as i thought the trailer looked pretty good. That cgi spider though - ugh

If you turn a film off after every bout of bad CGI, do you ever finish a movie?

The CGI isn't even that bad. Considering how poor the budget was, I'd say it looks just fine. I've seen worse with bigger budgets.

I didn't turn it off because the cgi was bad, i turned it off as i didn't have time to watch it all. I can't agree that it looks ok though. I would rather see bad practical effects than bad cgi but its a personal thing i suppose.
