That is an... interesting choice. From someone who's never seen this movie (mostly interested in it due to the shout-out from Hot Fuzz), I am intrigued... and also very concerned.

Ya know, I don't care that it's a bit dumb. I like it. It's different. Bring it on.

I was planning on skipping the 4K of this, but that steelbook is awesome. Alternative art that works and captures the spirit of the film. Exactly what I want on a steel. Preordered.

Interesting art. I'll sit on this one for a bit before pre-ordering though.

This just reminds me of how two films can be done with the same script and one comes out as a fun awesome cult classic and the other an utter peace of $h!t.

Talent vs greed;

It's funny how the terrible remake gets the really good and simple surfing art, yet the better original gets the consistent trash art.

It wouldn't be my first choice, but they could go with the original poster art, minus the text:

Or, if they really wanted some poop art, I've seen slightly better ones (at least than this) out there:

Good movies deserve better steels.

Ironically, it’s clear the artist of this steel has also never seen Point Break.

Well I should point out that Point Break kind of ripped off No Man's land (1987)

Even though this is the same exact story line for all four of these films:

"..what rookie cop wouldn t be tempted to go bad?
full-throttle thriller that's your best bet for curve-hugging, edge-of-your-seat entertainment!
_____is a young cop with an eye for _____..
...He goes undercover....
....the seductive world of his target,....
....The midnight joyrides, ultra-slick parties....
....believing that his new fast friend has the kind of life he wants...
...and ___ may be in much deeper than he thinks...."

Shout has been putting out some pretty iffy steelbook artwork lately.

ROCK N ROLL! I love it! I like the OG poster more, but this one is fun. I’d like to see the rest of the Steelbook before I decide if I want it in my collection.

I personally love the steelbook art. And even if I didn't, there's no way in Hell I would ever buy the standard release.

This little stain actively offends me. Why is this here? F*cking cut it out Shout. That's ugly as Hell.

Formulaic might be a better word than ripped off.

Not judging them, I love the first three films mentioned, I own the PB remake cause am sick but I won’t defend it by any means (I might give it a spin tonight to remind me why my brain rejected it the first time around)
