Default Gueros (my impressions)

I just finished Gueros and well, it is damn near a masterpiece. Think: a grittier version of clerks.
It's sort of clerks mixed with Darren Aronofsky and that is just the visual aspect, which is tremendous, a feast for the eyes, but the dialogue and what the movie covers, in terms of subject matter, is both funny and poignant and I'll admit that I only probably caught 30 percent of what it was saying. I need to re-watch it a couple of more times, but this movie, for those looking for a good foreign film, I don't think you will regret this one.

It is a winner.

So far every film I have watched from kino's world cinema has been stellar. I just watched Post Mortem and it blew me away.

It deserves a better quality release and the other two films in that trilogy: Tony Manero and No, to have a proper blu ray release.

The film just was unreal at the pacing and camera work.

UK has done very well with Pablo Larrain on Blu-ray:

The Club https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B011SW4X24/
Neruda https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06Y1Y2V4R/
Ema https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0877HW215

There was a planned Blu-ray collection with No/Tony Manero due during COVID and the owner of the distributor (Network) died sadly and it never happened.

I just realized No has a blu ray, so I picked that up. Man, I am buying too many films at this point. I just bought Goodbye, Dragon Inn, and Four Daughters. I also bought several films by Pedro Almodóvar. Pain and Glory, Official Competition and I bought The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie on 4k.

Not to mention that I bought 2 films on Amazon Prime: Zero Motivation and The Dinner Game.

Stop me!!!

And that isn't even close to the other films I have coming that I bought.
