Got my order in. Hopefully the support of these releases encourages them to put out Problemista finally and also A Different Man...

Too bad it's not 4K. I understand why Aftersun wasn't, given the source of some of the footage, but this and I Saw the TV Glow are 4K on digital and A24 is only giving them a BD. I haven't seen it yet so I might still buy the BD but I hope they don't start releasing one and waiting to release the other.

Yes:

They've denoted on their page for Heretic that the 4K will be a Shop exclusive, which seems to imply the BD will also get a wide release.

Too bad this movie doesn't also have a 4K release exclusive to that store.

I saw that and wondered the same, but the wide release for this is different artwork so Heretic 4K might only be on their store or it could just be exclusive artwork.

Personally I like the wide artwork better.

[Show spoiler]

Interestingly now looking at the description posted in the OP (and on the A24 page), they actually write "with A24 Exclusive cover artwork" so I guess in hindsight they did hint at the fact that it was getting a wide release with different artwork. For Heretic, they specifically say the 4K edition rather than just the artwork: "The 4K UHD edition of Heretic is exclusive to the A24 Shop. "

I saw 3 copies at my local B&N. Unlike other new releases, this A24 film does not get the 30% new release discount, only the 10% member discount.

It's probably identical to the A24 version with the same digipack inside a slipbox with a different more market friendly (and honestly, better) front cover. The back and inside look the same from the promo images available, so I'd imagine the artwork on the actual digipack is probably the same as well and only the slipbox art (and UPC) are changed for the wide version.

I got the A24 version but it was damaged and they refunded me, I should've gotten the wide version while I had the chance because now it's gone up to $30 on Amazon and Deep Discount. But wasn't entirely sure I liked it enough to pay $20 for it, it was good just not sure I'd ever rewatch it to warrant purchasing. I was hoping the UK would get a 4K release since it's just releasing there in theaters and isn't handled by A24

It’s a digipack with postcards inside a cardboard slipbox.
