Edward Dmytryk's classic western Warlock (1959) is coming to Blu-ray on May 21. 2019, from Twilight Time. This will be a limited edition of 3000 copies.

From IMDb....A famous gunman becomes the marshal of Warlock to end a gang's rampages, but is met with some opposition by a former gang member turned deputy sheriff who wants to follow only legal methods.

From a new 4k Restoration

Directed by Edward Dmytrk, in his film debut as a director (The Young Lions, The Caine Mutiny, Raintree County, Mirage, Broken Lance, Till the End of Time, Crossfire, and Murder, My Sweet).

Starring:

Richard Widmark (Kiss of Death, Night and the City, Don't Bother to Knock, Pickup on South Street, Garden of Evil, Broken Lance, Judgment at Nuremberg)

Henry Fonda (The Grapes of Wrath, My Darling Clementine, 12 Angry Men, Young Mr. Lincoln, The Lady Eve, Mister Roberts)

Anthony Quinn (Zorba the Greek, The Guns of Navarone, The Secret of Santa Vittoria, The Shoes of the Fisherman, Lawrence of Arabia)

Dorothy Malone (The Big Sleep, Written on the Wind, The Tarnished Angels, and 1960s to 1980s television)


Music by the great Leigh Harline, who began his scoring career in animation, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and Pinocchio, before going on to film work that includes House of Bamboo, Broken Lance, They Live by Night, The Enemy Below, The Pride of the Yankees, Monkey Business, and Pickup on South Street.

Cinematography by the outstanding Joseph MacDonald, who lensed many classics, including My Darling Clementine, Call Northside 777, Panic in the Streets, Niagara, Pickup on South Street, The Young Lions, Mackenna's Gold, and The Sand Pebbles.

Oh I definitely want Warlock - an outstanding classic western. I'm just hoping it'll be region-free (like many TT titles appear to be), as I've only ever come across this film on a bootleg Spanish blu-ray.

It will be region free. The only time a Fox TT was region locked were some initial pressings of "The Roots of Heaven".

All the Fox 'Twilight Time' discs I currently have are all region-free to be fair, but I wasn't 100% sure if all the TT titles would be the same, so thanks for putting my mind to rest.

Finally ! I can upgrade to a 4K Remaster ! The German Bluray is dvd quality. I hope it looks as good as The Bravado's TwTm Bluray from last year.

Pre-orders are usually two weeks before release date. Amazon has never sold TT titles first party; all secondhand, marketplace, etc.
