Technically this is already out, just waiting for the price to drop. but I figured if Wicked City could get it's own section, why not this one.

Who else has seen this one?

I remember first seeing it years ago in the early 90's when video stores first started having anime.

I watched Demon City: Shinjuku a few months ago when the Diskotek DVD was released and enjoyed it a great deal. While it doesn't quite reach the heights of Wicked City, it is extremely enjoyable.

I've since upgraded to Diskotek's more recent blu-ray release and am looking forward to watching it again.

It has been $20 on Discotek's eBay since it came out. I'm pretty sure it was $17 or $18 on RightStuf at some point too.

Cool, but I'm pretty happy with the Discotek releases. Both of them are top notch.

I don't have the Discotek releases yet but I'll probably just get them. It looks like they made a box for WC and decided to just shove DCS as an afterthought. Plus like you said Discotek does top notch work.

The Japanese DTS track on this is only 768kbps, but everywhere calls it DTS-HD Master Audio. Was this a goof or was the J-Blu also lossy DTS?

It's also lossy. Discotek releases of Demon City Shinjuku and Wicked City are remuxes of the Japanese discs.

I am glad I got this release....still waiting for so many old school anime from the 80's and early 90's.

Dirty Pair would be a bonus. It's not on blu ray with subs yet

I wish we never got that kick starter for Dirty Pair and they just released it on blu ray with subs only.

There are so many 80's and 90's anime that I am still waiting for a blu ray release.
