I didn't realize there was a Director's Cut of Friday, it was only $6.99. There were a lot of Blu-rays on sale at Best Buy today, in fact. The Resident Evil box set was down to $29.99 and a bunch of movies at $6.99 and $11.99.

First time that I've seen the Atmos label (though, admittedly, I've greatly curtailed my disc collecting in recent months, haven't been in the market for new gear and I don't frequent multiple discussion forums / news aggrsgate websites related to the subject, so I'm a bit out of the loop, I guess. ) Also I note that the choice of disc art is different than on the standard Blu, as might be expected to differentiate it a little more apart from the UHD logo. Little things like that are often over-looked in reviews, because they are fairly mundane (just another compilation from other promotional art-work, in this case), but are curiosities that one would think might be at least reported upon, as I've see here - some early adopters tend to have a certain voracity for such little tidbits.

I've gone ahead and have ordered a few titles, though I won't have a player or display for some time.

My body might be ready and the mind willing, but my finances aren't in the best place to appreciate all that the format has to offer, yet.

EDIT: Ultra HD Premium label, not Atmos as I originally thought. I really am out of the loop. :P

Maybe 45 days out I'll go rent one of those ugly Samsung players from Best Buy.

Does anyone know if the UV code redeems the UHD version of the film? I might start buying the discs if it does. That way I could watch it in pseudo 4K on Vudu until I can get a player.

Probably wouldn't have bought these if I didn't order Kingsman and The Martian from Foxconnect, but I was impatient to try out my new toy.
Can't wait for the first to get several more releases.
