Default why do hdmi recievers only have 1 hdmi out?

I purchased the new Yamaha 663 and it has two hdmi inputs, but only one out. I have a ps3 and a panny bd-30 right next to each other. I want lossless audio out of both of them. What options do I have since I only have one audio output and two lcds and two blu-ray players. I would like for them to all be connected at the same time. Any help would be appreciated.

Default HDMI Splitter

I do not know of any receivers that have 2 HDMI outputs.
However check out this switch.
You could run the HDMI out of your 663 and into the switch with to TV Monitors hooked up at the same time.

One doesn't need to look for for a reciever that has two HDMI outputs: the Marantz SR8002, the Denon 4803 (IIRC), and several others.

Use an HDMI switcher 5x1, 4x1 or what ever you like. Or you might need a splitter? Go to monoprice.com

Your HDMI should be going OUT from your PS3 and BD-30, IN to your Receiver. You can get lossless audio to your receiver from both as you have it now. You just won't be getting the video out to both of your LCDs via HDMI unless you use the switch.

My reciever has 3HDMI ins and 1 out...all you do is plug your PS3 into one HDMI input and your Panny into the other HDMI input...and have the HDMI output going into the back of your LCD or Plasma...BAM! Problem solved.

The only problem is I have two tv's right next to each other each with their own blu-ray players. I'd really hate to buy a hdmi switch, but if I do will there be any loss in quality?

Again, why do you have two TVs right next to each other? It doesn't sound like you have a projection TV with light bulb issues, or do you? What are the TV models? Most Receivers are set up to manage and display on one TV, and not two. Many receivers that manage two zones only pass audio signals to the second zone.

As others have stated, you'll just need to get an HDMI switcher that will pass both audio and video, and place that between your receiver and two monitors. Hopefully you won't have any HDCP handshaking issues by introducing a switcher to the system.

Maybe it would. I dont watch tv that much. Movies and games. I dont care to watch the news and hear about murderers running around. If they come in ill shot them with my shotgun. But there are some tv shows i like to watch though. And how long do those bulbs last?

I've seen people do this, but I still don't get the savings of buying an $800 lcd to save wear on a $300 bulb. Enjoy the big PJ.

i do. i have my projector and a tv in the same room. don't use the projector for everything and sometimes, it's nice to use the ps3 on my LCD instead of the pj.
