Default Onkyo tx-nr708 - good replacement?
So looking to upgrade for 3D and receiver decoding of HD. I get lossless now, but I'd rather bitstream and have the receiver decode.

Onkyo Tx-nr708

Does anyone know does this fairly well compare (or plain beat) sound quality wise to my current Onkyo?

Receiver = Onkyo 7.1 TX-SR604 (silver) | Review

I understand the difference in "features" but I want to know more that if the replacement candidate's THX rating makes it a better performing receiver than what I experience now? And hopefully if anyone can expertly attain to it being leagues above the 604. Afterall they are similar RRP so I'm not 100% sure.
