Default Several Fox Catalog Titles With New Lower List Prices of $29.98 - Amazon.com

Miracles do happen. I've found several Fox catalog titles with a new list price of $29.98. Fantastic Four, Transporter 1 & 2, Chain Reaction, From Hell, 28 Days Later, Broken Arrow, Flight of the Phoenix, Kiss of the Dragon, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Sentinel, Men of Honor, The Fly, Planet of the Apes, Entrapment, Behind Enemy Lines, Edward Scissorhands, The Devil Wears Prada, Speed, Flyboys, and The Omen all reflect the new price. Some of these are still selling for $27.95, but I think that will change quickly.

Well if the new list price on these is $30 then the Amazon price should be $20 which is just about right I think.

It's a step in the right direction. Hopefully they will apply this $29.99 MSRP to all catalog titles.

I just hope this is a trend that all studios follow.

I have most of those already. A few were gifts but for the most part I didn't pay more than $25 for any of them except AVP when it first came out.

I truly believe that Fox follow exactly the same model they did with SDVD and their pricing will align with the rest of the "decent" guys once the market expands accordingly. They and Paramount were the last ones to adjust prices with SDVD (I believe it happened around the announcement of Fight Club).
