Tora! Tora! Tora! because it's much more historically accurate and doesn't have a useless love triangle.

Tora! X's 3 is the superior film, though modern audiences may find that it drags on a bit and isn't as engaging as Pearl Harbor. It has an almost documentary or reality style feel to it at times.

The only knock against Tora! is lack of credit given to Kurosawa for his work on the screenplay. I would also love to see some of his footage as extras. He did 2-3 weeks of shooting before being replaced.

Tora! Tora! Tora! has one of the best scenes in a war movie.

"No, you idiot! It's your own flagship!"

Pearl Harbor. Far more entertaining. TTT might be a more respectable film but it is also more likely to put you to sleep.

Tora! Tora! Tora! is the best movie by far. It's a cohesive and accurate story with some outstanding old school special effects.

I must admit, though, that Pearl Harbor has the best ladies. Kate Beckinsale, Jaime King, Jennifer Garner, etc.

So, the final score...
Best ladies: Pearl Harbor
Best everything else: Tora! Tora! Tora!

Pearl Harbor also has that awesomely earnest Faith Hill song, There you'll be, going for it.

TTT is my favorite. Just a better made, factual movie.
I think another worth while poll would be between TTT and Midway. One with a Japanese slant vs and American slant. Same story line.

I haven't seen TTT yet, but it can't be as bad as Pearl Harbor

Even asking this question is insulting. TTT is an excellent film whereas the only scene worth watching in PH is the Arizona bomb drop. TTT gets 9/10 whereas PH gets 2/10.

Tora! Tora! Tora! The Japanese Extended Cut is vastly superior. Pearl Harbor is more like a soap opera with lousy special effects. Anyone notice the mothballed post WW II navel ships used in the attack scenes?

I did not even know there was an extended cut. Is there English dialogue?

Yes and no. The American scenes are in English. The Japanese scenes are in their native language with sub titles. It's very authentic and well done.
