Default Funny proclomation on the HD-DVD forum.

This statement was made on 12/9/06 on the HD-DVD forum in reaction to one of those paid propaganda pieces by Enderle.

I had to chuckle as I read it on 1/3/07. I'm sure as the next few months unfold, it will seem even funnier.

Pure FUD from the HD-DVD zealots

Oh well, I wish them luck in the upcoming CES and they're gonna need it bad.

They need it because Blu-ray is hunting them right-on and the gap between the two is closing real fast.

Blu-ray will indeed have the upper hand over HD-DVD at CES 2007.

Amir, rdjam and plazman. Beware

I don't think Amir is going to be that bothered, he probably knows that BD is going to win (he is too smart), MS definitely knows (they too are very smart), but they just want to drag the war out so that Sony look stupid for including a BD drive in the PS3.

plazman and rdjam on the other hand, well they are blinded by who knows what, hatred for Sony/Newscorp, love of MS/Toshiba, I don't know but it (CES) will hit them very hard. They seem to think that a raft of Studios are going to declare neutrality and a bunch of CE companies will show prototype HD/combo players.

How about they get a working HD DVD player out the door to begin the war?

Anyone see that the A2 will currently only output 480p to DVI sets? This includes Toshiba's own RPTVs from 2002/2003. (The PS/3 outputs to my Tosh w/DVI at 1080i just fine.)

Something like 20% of users are reporting serious problems in a poll on FUD.com.

The same old audio issue where you can get a pure stream but some masacre re-encode is still there.

Just imagine what piece of crap would come from another $100 SRP reduction?

Funny about A2, I knew it was a strip down feature-wise compared to A1, but didn't know about that part. So much for Gen 2 player.

Bottom line on Toshiba is that they make crap products. Always have always will. How many of you have ever considered a Toshiba product for your HT? They are miles away from high end. I was suckered into buying a XA1 and after the intial "wow" of HD on disc subsided it is a pain in the ass. Slow load, lock ups, audio drop outs etc. Never will I buy a Toshiba product again. I went against my initial insticts.

I have to laugh when I here the big news rumored from Toshiba at CES will be a price drop on the A2. It hasn't even been out a month! Can you say "DESPERATION"
