i think what youve listed is a bit too simple, but i agree..too many subforums

did i really just see one for a blu-ray wish list?! as if theres a movie we dont want in highdef? give me a freaking break

I think you're missing the point of the Blu-ray Wish List forum. Obviously there are tons of threads asking "When will Transformers be released?", "I'd love to see Star Wars on Blu-ray", etc, so now we are able to move them out from the general Blu-ray movie discussion so they won't clutter up that forum and the front page of the site.

oh i see, that makes a little more sense.

i've asked before with no luck, but when changes like this happen and features are added..could you announce it in a thread so we can thank you/complain (if needed), etc.

save the trouble of all the threads asking why

It's not really Josh place to answer such questions, me and Iceman run the site. We've been very busy with real life stuff the past few days, so that's probably why you haven't received a reply (I didn't get any PM about it).

We pretty much make minor changes to the site daily so we don't feel the need to talk about all of them, but I guess this was a bit more major of a change and we probably should have created a thread about it.

oh i understand that completely, but for the bigger stuff like changing the forum around or a major feature added, i feel like some sort of announcement would be cool so we could ask questions and give thanks

Btw, I spent a few hours yesterday going through the 30 first pages of the Blu-ray movies forum and finding topics to move to the Blu-ray Wish List forum and ended up with 8 pages of Blu-ray Wish List posts

so you see, you're creating unnecessary work for yourself. In the end, you'll waste your time trying to monitor posts and place them in the right sub-forums. There's too many grey areas.

Just divide the forums into the 4 areas I mentioned, and you'll have more time enjoying other stuff

We could also just have one Blu-ray forum and place all posts in it... that would save us a lot of time

Seriously though, it would be almost impossible for someone to find what they are looking for, which is why you need to break down a forum into more specific sections. We also plan to cover region A, B, C and a lot of people will not be interested in other regions than their own.

Given what a mess of constant "When Is/I Want" threads we've been plagued with for so long, I applaud the mods for trying to clean things up a bit more by splitting things up into larger sections.
