Default I need advice

Here is my problem, I have HD Direct TV and a HD tv with a Direct Tv card in it so that I get the Direct tv signal directly to my TV.

It works fine, but now I want to be able to record programs in HD.

is there some Blue Ray I could use? does it even matter that my card is located inside my tv?

What would be the best unit to get?

I am fairly ignorant can anyone help?

HD DVR means HD digital video recorder. Usually, a hard disk that you could record HD. In addition to recording these allows you to pause, rewind live TV.
