A lot of people have been left wondering what exactly Linger in Shadows is. According to the latest video interview with Rusty Buchert, senior produce of Sony Santa Monica, Linger in Shadows is an interactive digital art that will be made available on the PlayStation Network.

While this still leaves a ton of questions to be answered, the video below gives an adequate response to a lot of them. Buchert seems quite passionate about the project and after watching the video ourselves, we're mildly impressed by the art direction the game has taken. As always, leave your impressions below. You can expect the game to release as early as July, but sometimes over the summer is expected.

This is not a game its just Interactive, but at least we get to play it somehow

Its games like this and Little big planet that makes sony have the number 1 first party studio's in the world, they have like 20 world wide, more than MS and nintendo combined.......but they do need to start bringing these type of games out on BD also, i think they limit there potential market buy doing only PSN titles cause not everybody is connected online,and not everyone has a CC to buy stuff.

It might be taken as a "game", but it seems it's more like "Interactive Digital Art". Seems very interesting

yes why? the point is its real, whether its a game or art. people thought this was just a demo, im trying to say the game is real its playable, what are your thoughts?

From descriptions it sounds about as playable as something like Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel for PSP, nobody calls that a game and SCEA's not calling this a game.

Maybe it's a little early to judge as I don't know if it's longer than the videos so far demonstrate and I haven't seen the interactivity and unlockables but at the moment I can't imagine people paying more than a few $ for LiS. More for something recognisable and loved like the Final Fantasy VII intro or something much longer.

To sell these on Blu-ray, several would have to be packed together for a higher price and they'd have to sell well on PSN to begin with to prove they will actually sell.
