Pioneer VSX-81TXV - Blu-ray Forum

Installed latest firmware (H1.003) on my Pioneer VSX-81TXV receiver. I'm utilizing Sony PS 3 to play movies through receiver using HDMI cable. Movie is displayed on upper left side of Plasma Tv. No matter what aspect ratio I select on TV, unable to display anything close to a full screen. Made all adjustments on PS3 via on screen menu. When I (bypass receiver) connect directly to TV through HDMI the movie is displayed on the entire screen. Any suggestions?

I have thius receiver but do not have the problem...that sounds strange.

perhaps try resetting the system...

pg. 63 user manual

put receiver into standby, while holding down the front panel Tone button, press and hold the Stanby/ON for about three seconds

...when you see it display Reset, hit the front panel Enter button.

This will reset everything to factory settings. (you will have to set everything back up again, so use as last resort?)
