I just ordered Children of Men from xploitedcinema.com. It appears to be the UK version. Does anyone else have this one? If so, how is the PQ?

The web page says that it is a "Region All Blu-Ray Disc", so without sounding like a complete knucklehead, that means it should play anywhere in the world, on all blu-ray players....right?

The price is pretty hefty, but it's worth for this movie (IMO).

Yes. And it's not from the UK, it's a Dutch/Netherlands release.

I have it- picked it up from a member here. It's "only" DD 5.1 (I believe), but it's a pretty strong mix regardless. There's also a weird menu option to choose what region of the Netherlands you're from (? - not sure as I can't read it!) but once you get past that it's smooth sailing.

The PQ is absolutely tremendous. Fine grain, sharp details. All in all a very strong transfer. If you love this movie then you'll love the import.

Yes, it will play on any region Blu-Ray player. I think I'll wait for it to be released here in the States before paying that much for it.

It's actually a Danish (Nordic) release. Ironically, I just watched Children of Men on DVD last night, and even though it is an excellent flick, I would not pay $45 for an import version. I'll wait until it's released in the States by Universal. Plus the Nordic release only has DD5.1 for audio.

Yeah, the PQ is good but as someone mentioned, no lossless audio. I thought it still sounded pretty good though and overall, I'm happy with the import.
