I would skip this game, gametrailers.com only gave the story an 8.7.

That was a sarcasm probably? To the OP, I've seen MGS4 in 720 with my friend's TV and it looks good. Give it a try OP.

I would like to know about it also as all games in general, I have a Mitsubishi WD-52525 DLP almost 4 years old and is native 720p but accepts everything except 1080p. Would it be better to let the PS3 do the scaling or my 4 year old TV same applies for Blu-ray?

(My basement is being finished and will be getting a 1080p TV but we have had to fire the builders as they worked April-September and showed up 2 times since so we fired them last month.)

And IGN only gave it a 10. Sounds like a horrid game if that's all they give it.

Anyways, to the OP, Try to run it under both and see which one you prefer. That's the easiest way to do it to suit it to your taste. You might find you like the 1080i better then the 720p, or the 720p blows the 1080i out the water.

I fail to see what relevance this has to the OP's question. I play the game on a TV that displays 720p/1080i, I have only ever played games on 720p mode (always have 1080i unchecked) as I prefer the look in 720p. MGS4 looks excellent on my TV in 720p so I'd suggest that.

Man, I love how no one on the boards here can get when someone uses sarcasm. The 2nd post you are all complaining about was just being sarcastic, based upon a thread...still on this front page!

Why ask here, just untick it and see for yourself which looks best!
Don't need other peoples opinions to tell tou what looks better!

I personaly find that there is very little difference in 1080i/720p
only that u fit more data on screen when browsing the internet at 1080i.!
