Default Problem with V For Vendetta?

Is anyone else having a problem with V for Vendetta? I put the disc in my Sony S300 player and the disc loads and then right as the movie starts, the player stops and restarts itself. I have tried it five or six times and it does the same thing every time. Do you think it is the disc or my player? No other Blu-ray I have does this.

Could be a disc issue, especially if you haven't had any issues with other titles. The only thing that it might be besides the disc is that you need a firmware update. When was the last time you were on Sony's website to make sure you have the latest-and-greatest for your player?

I did the firmware 3.70 upgrade and I think they have 3.80 out now but I heard that some people were having problems with that update and didn't do it.

You MUST have 3.9 installed. It works.

Yeah, you need version 3.9 for it to work, I had the same issue, I just updated my firmware and it worked perfectly.

On a side note regarding " V For Vendetta ", the English Dolby Digital soundtrack is seriously flawed in terms of sound level. Way too low !!!

You need to play the Dolby Digital TrueHD soundtrack in order to hear it properly.

Agreed. I hate that warner does that to their Dolby TrueHD Tracks. Also, i wasn't too impressed by the PQ. Some parts were very soft. Kind of like Troy.

Aren't both tracks (when Dolby THD is played on a legacy Dolby Digital decoder) supposed to be the same?
Sony's Gattaca Blu-ray only has Dolby THD on the languajes options, no plain vanilla Dolby Digital soundtrack, and it plays on regular Dolby Digital decoders.

Not necessarily, especially if there's a pre-existing DD 5.1 track

They are talking about a standalone sony blu ray player not the PS3
