Default Smallville or X-Files???

Ok, which show do you think should have all their seasons on Blu-Ray first?
Smallville or X-Files?? My opinion, I would love to have Smallville first!

How can you compare these two shows?

Smallville is more upto date than The X-Files too so it will probably take longer for The X-Files to be released onto Blu-Ray.

X-Files as I was a huge fan of it and never got into Smallville. I tried watching a few episodes of the first season, but it never stuck on me.

EDIT: After re-reading the OP, I change my answer to Smallville as its more recent.

I like X-files only until season 3, because the main "ET and government are manipulating us" is so weakly written I prefer standaolne episodes.
I loved Smallville until episode 5.12 where Clark and Lana finally begin a strong relationship which is destroyed by a Voyager like time travel thing.

I agree. I liked the standalone episodes as well, like the Jersey Devil (Season 1), and the cerulean blue guy (Season 3). Once they tried to develop longer story arcs, I lost interest.

X-Files story-wise is so much better than Smallville. When I'm watching Smallville sometimes, I think, 'Wow, this is stupid and boring.' And I don't even know if any of the X-Files shows were even shot in 16:9, and I know Para tried putting out the original ST show in 4:3, but that's just terrible. But back on point, X-Files may have a better story but Smallville has Superman, c'mon, I'd pick anything with Superman.

X-Files by a landslide. There aren't any teenagers in it.

X-files at its worst is better than the best Smallville episode. And i say that as a huge Smallville and Superman fan.

Problem is most, if not all, of the episodes of X-Files were edited on video. It would be wonderful if they could go back to the ON film source, possibly even recomposing the first 4 seasons for 16:9 if the frame allows without compromising anything. But I bet the show would look *****in' on BD...especially as the seasons progress. and Fox...don't DNR X-Files!!! I do have to say that the upscaled anamorphic S-DVDs starting with season 5 look pretty good.

I read online somewhere that Season 1,2 & 3 were not recorded digitally, but I hope they put their best efforts into making them as amazing as possible if they bring them all to Blu-Ray.

i'm sorry, but supernatural is quickly passing smallville as the single coolest show on television. i let my friends who love smallville borrow season 1, they've all watched it, bought season 2 and are coming over thursdays to see the replays of season 3. but if only those 2 shows are what we can choose from. smallville

This man knows what he is talking about. I don't care what this thread is titled Smallville doesn't even compare to Supernatural. I have turned all my friends onto that show as well.

I was a fan of smallville but ever since they left highschool I don't know if the original writers left the episode or what but it has sucked major a$$. Lana and Clark's relationship ruined the whole series on top of that, I remember when I first started watching the show I worshiped that chick, now every episode where she makes that whiny pouty face one of her 3 acting faces she possesses I want to punch the screen in. She is a horrible character now.

I think smallville doesn't deserve all its season on blu's, because that show lost something 3 seasons ago, and like someone said earlier x-files at its worst was better than anything smallville has done in the last 3-4 seasons.

I also think the superman movie was ruined and gay too. I love the actor for Clark on Smallville he maybe could have saved that movie but it was also poorly written.

Would love to get a non gay version of superman one day that the writer's dont muck up.

Neither. The X-Files looked like it was being made up as it went along and Smallville is so laughably bad that some might get joy out it in a masochistic sort of way. Supernatural kicks the crap out of both of them, which isn't bad for something that McG is involved in.
