Default Help! My Receiver!

Ok, hear me out...I'm simply put up with this issue for a year now, and I just want some opinions.

I got a JVC RX-D412B receiver, I thought "Hey...great price, smaller form factor, 7.1 surround, this will be great with my PS3 and projector"

I found it even cheaper refurbished (probably my mistake) and it's a great LOOKING receiver, and sounds pretty damn good.

Here's my problem, whenever I turn on all the components of my system (The projector, my PS3, and the receiver...in any order) the JVC receiver clicks multiple times...this wouldn't really bother me if it had no effect, but a lot of the time it will click again and again, but I hear no audio and see no video displayed. To fix this, I either have to wait for a few more clicks and hope it works...or, turn off the receiver, wait a second and turn it back on and see if it does it again.

Is this an issue anyone else has had? I will call JVC soon, and most likely will be upgrading to an Onkyo receiver in the next few months (once I have the money for it). Gimme some ideas people.

Why didn't you get it serviced while it was still in warranty? Because I think that's what it needs... I don't think there's any user settings that say 'randomly fail to work'.

It was only under warranty for 30 or 60 days as a refurbished system.

Sounds like HDMI handshaking to me. It may be having problems resolving the issue.

I believe it IS only an issue using the HDMI connected PS3...I just RARELY use anything except the PS3.

Sounds like a bad power supply or something around those lines. I had a TV that did the same thing and it required some resoldering on one of
the boards.
