If War of the Worlds (remake) had been on this list, I would have ended up in jail by the end of the day...

I agree, except I really can't stand Pitt's "What's in the boooox?"

I would've moved both "The Sixth Sense" and "The Usual Suspects" up a little as well.

The ending of the original Planet of the Apes is fanatastic, perhaps my favorite, but that is a very good list.

I would have put memento at first... and 6 sens not to far away. One good ending recently was Gone baby gone too.

some of the movies I've never seen like Carrie... Eventually I'll get to it... but I had to stop myself from reading all of those I hadn't seen.

Great endings don't have to be a surprise.

Carrie is awesome. They seem to emphasize the VERY ending.. but to me what makes the movie is the main ending sequence with the blood/fire.

Does anyone here remember a movie called "I am the Cheese"? That has one of the more surprise endings. I saw it maybe twice and I still remember it for the ending.

What about the ending of Raiders? When the FBI guys tell Indy that they have their 'TOP' experts on it as we speak! (in reference to Indy telling them the Ark needs to be studied) And then they show the Ark being crated up, numbered, and stored in that huge warehouse of 'TOP SECRET' crates. That ending made me go "Hmmm???"

Theres no reason to be an ass, what i mint was it doesn't deserve the number one spot, maybe number four. They're are more films deserving of that spot like Saving private ryan, Glory or The Shawshank Redemption to name a few.

I absolutely agree. Any list of the best movie endings without Sleepaway Camp is incomplete.
