Default I have gone Blu!

I got my bonus and spent it quickly! Sure was fun loading my cart with stuff, moving to the checkout and saying "Ring me up!"

I went with the PS3 for my player; Already have an upconverting DVD player and I'm patiently awaiting many PS3 games like Metal Gear, Castlevania, Gradius, Devil May Cry, and Final Fantasy. The haul included 16 movies on Blu-Ray disc, about 13 new games, and some anime and TV shows on DVD.

My first 16 movies include: The Covenant, Resident Evil Apocalypse, Aeon Flux, X-Men Last Stand, Corpse Bride, 5th Element, Silent Hill, Underworld Evolution, Fantastic 4, Jay and Silent Bob, XXX, Both Terminators, Sky High, House of Flying Daggers, and Reservoir Dogs. I've plans for atleast 32 more over the course of the year, solely based on what is either confirmed or safe to assume.

First impressions: It's really great! For the test, I did a side by side of Resident Evil, DVD in the PS2, BD-ROM in the PS3; My friends agreed that there is a definite difference. I tell my visitors things like "Prepare to be amazed" and "Remember, this isn't DVD, this is Blu-Ray Disc!"

Of course, DVD is still one of the greatest inventions of the past decade or 2, but here's to a worthy successor!

I'll definitely have to consider adding some of those titles. I've plans for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Punisher, both Ice Ages, A Christmas Story, and more as it is. I almost forgot one of my titles (see above).

To answer a few things: I work at Travelers in Actuarial, and the shopping trip was mostly done at Best Buy, with additional stops made at Newbury Comics, and EB/Gamestop.

That's me; Gotta make sure the big new toy has plenty of uses.

I had been dreaming of the shopping trip since I was a little child. Took a whole lot of hard work, but I finally got to go to a store and grab everything I wanted. All goes well with work, this should be the first of many.

Of course, the real fun is taking them home and using them all. Going to take a while, but I'll be well stocked with fun stuff.
