Default New firmware for 805?

Has anyone installed the new firmware for the onkyo 805? I have a poping sound each time I pause a blu-ray, and resume play! Any help on this would be great. I saw the other threads on this issue, but i'm sketchy on if i should attempt this myself,or, bring it to a dealer.......sooo much work to remove it from my theater set -up though...... .

I also have an Onkyo 805 and when I emailed them about an update for DTS bombs, they sent me this link:

You can do it yourself, you just need a blank cd and a cd player connected to the receiver via optical cable. I have not done the update myself since I rarely ever get the bombs but I think its pretty straight forward. I believe it will also erase all your equilizer settings too, so if you did custom tweaking after the Audyssey setup then you may want to jot them down before performing the firmware update.

I updated the dsp fw on the 705 a little while back. It was a major pain to me!

When did you get the 805 and have you verified which firmware version is in fact installed on it?

I downloaded the fix from their site onto a CD, and then borrowed a CD player with optical output (they say it won't work with a DVD player) in order to install it, but it still didn't work. I wrote to Onkyo, and they sent me a CD with the fix, which worked perfectly.

I burned it to cd 3 times before it worked. I know it has to be burned as a wav file which was new to me!

UPDATE.......I just returned my day old S350, and hooked up the new one and whoaloa! no more popping sound. I can't believe it?! Is it a full moon or something? DTS-MA/TRUE-HD working perfectly! That was definately weird.
