Red Ring of Death at Target

So I thought this was funny. This is the 360 display at my local Target.
I feel bad for a few of my co-workers. 4 of them had this happened to them. my friend 2.

The WalMart supercenter near me has the same thing. I L'edMAO off when the clerk said, "It just has to be reset."

oh? well sorry then, i've seen it more than once in a few different cities lol. i just figured everyone knew the 360 was terrible. no harm meant

Its all good, I am with you. I have never owned one nor plan too. Everytime I go to CC the Managers are pro Xbox and try and sell me 360 games, then the consoles
I still laugh remembering all the trash talk they did on blu-ray I told em

we actually had this happen a few times in the game section at my work... then our tech got sick of sending them back so he just took one that went RROD and locked it in a very small cabinet, turned on... after a day or two it worked but it bricked again about 3 months later and his little trick didnt work that time... its sad that so many of the consoles fail... imagine poor little twelve year old Billy playing Halo 3 while jacked on red bull and cussing profusely, only to have his XBOX die mid-frag

What's amusing to me is that this is still happening almost 3 years after the console's launch. This tells customers that Microsoft has made little to no improvements to the units coming off the assembly lines since late 2005.

Because they most likely did a study showing it was cheaper to repair them, then to re-engineer them to work right. Im sure it being encased in a plastic box does not help matters much either, but still something i think you will never see not happen with x-box 360 systems.

assuming the ones you find dead in stores are newer units

yea, me either. i didnt have a xbox or own a 360. I was always a PS and Nintendo guy. but oh well. PS3 rocks!!
