Default Backup Utility question

Ok I'm getting ready to buy a new hard drive for the PS3 since all my Guitar Hero and Rock Band DLC are taking up alot of space. My question is if I use the backup utility to backup and restore everything, will the copy prohibited saves transfer over? I'd really hate to lose the GH saves

I think with backing up saves and utility you should be fine. But i've never backed up with those specific games so you might want to wait for a few more answers.

But I figured i'd respond so you'd know people were reading... lol.

I have replaced my HDD though, and ALL my saves transfered.

The answer is yes. I just did it again recently.

The catch, however, is that you need to back up your drive onto a large FAT32 partition, and the backup and restore process takes forever if you have a lot of stuff.

Nice, thanks guys!

I'll probably end up deleting all the RB and GH DLC then there won't be that much to transfer lol Re-downloading it all will be easy.
